I felt proud and very honoured to be installed as the Provincial Grand Master of Warwickshire Provincial Grand Lodge of the Royal Order of Scotland, and welcome you to our website.
Our order is the second oldest order after the Craft and came into its present form some two centuries ago when a number of English Freemasons who disagreed with the de-Christianisation of the Craft moved to Scotland and created the Royal Order of Scotland.
Ostensibly the order rectifies perceived errors that have crept into St John’s Masonry (Craft), but in practice a candidate is led through a series of thought provoking lectures in which he will recognise aspects of several other Masonic orders.
Today the order is a worldwide Masonic order administered from Edinburgh which through its two degree ceremonies provides beautiful lessons for the Christian Freemason.
Membership is open to Master Masons of a Craft Constitution that is in amity with the Grand Lodge of Scotland who have been raised for five years or more and who are Christians. The order is based on an invitation only membership.
